Our Story
Why Matthew 28:20?
A verse about presence. A promise about permanence. A ministry built on both.
Matthew 28:20 is the final sentence Jesus speaks in the Gospel of Matthew — and it is not a command. It is a promise. "And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." After calling his disciples to go, to teach, to baptize, Jesus closes not with a task but with a guarantee: you will not do this alone.
That promise is the heartbeat of this ministry. Matthew 2820 was born out of a conviction that Scripture is not meant to be studied in isolation — not intellectually, and not spiritually. The Word is alive, and it is best encountered in community, with honesty, with questions, and with the confidence that the Author of every page is present in the reading of it.
We are not a church, a denomination, or a theological institution. We are a gathering of people who take the Bible seriously — who believe that careful, humble study changes how we see the world, how we treat one another, and how we understand ourselves before God.
Mission
What We're Here to Do
Go Deep
Surface-level readings leave us unchanged. We believe Scripture rewards those who slow down, ask hard questions, and sit with the text long enough to let it speak.
Stay Humble
Two thousand years of faithful readers have wrestled with these words before us. We approach Scripture with confidence in its truth and humility about our own understanding.
Study Together
The promise of Matthew 28:20 was spoken to a community, not an individual. We learn better together — and we are more honest about our doubts when we are not alone.
Welcome Everyone
Whether you have read the Bible your whole life or are opening it for the first time, you belong here. There is no prerequisite for seeking God.
